The Donald W. Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication
The Reynolds School seeks a tenure-track assistant professor of strategic communication with big ideas, to begin in the 2014/2015 academic year. Our new colleague will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in our newly integrated advertising and public relations curriculum, and conduct a program of research with the support of our Center for Advanced Media Studies.
The successful candidate will have a doctorate (by fall 2014), related professional experience, and demonstrated potential for a program of scholarship in line with the tenure expectations of a research university. Interest in the research and professional implications of Big Data is a plus.

Reynolds Chair in Media Entrepreneurship
The Reynolds School seeks a dynamic, collaborative colleague to hold our Reynolds Chair in Media Entrepreneurship, to begin in the 2014/2015 academic year.
This endowed chair will boost our commitment to media innovation and entrepreneurship to the next level, teaching and developing undergraduate and graduate courses in media entrepreneurship, as well as in the chair’s area of expertise. In addition, the Reynolds Chair in Media Entrepreneurship will build interdisciplinary curricula with UNR’s College of Business and other units, and contribute a program of applied research and engagement with the professional community to help define the future of news and strategic communication. This is a nine-month, renewable, non-tenure-track position that includes a dedicated account to support travel, research, events and related programs.
To be a successful candidate, your professional background will include significant experience with entrepreneurial ventures and creative disruption. University teaching experience is a plus.

Coordinator, Nevada Media Alliance
The Reynolds School seeks a collaborative colleague to lead the Nevada Media Alliance, our innovative production partnership with regional media organizations. In this 12-month Administrative Faculty position, you will work closely with students, faculty and our professional partners to champion new approaches to producing multimedia news; help build the Nevada Media Alliance by recruiting new media partners; and teach Reynolds School courses in your area of expertise. The starting date for this position is negotiable, after November 15, 2013.
