Ben Holden joined the Reynolds School faculty in 2011. His teaching specialties include introduction to multimedia reporting and intermediate multimedia reporting.
Ben also serves as the Director of the Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Courts and Media; an affiliate of the National Judicial College. In this role, he is responsible for policy, strategy, staffing, and fundraising for the national center for research and scholarship. He also conceived and launched the ongoing Reynolds Courts and Media Law Journal.
He is the former Vice President and Executive Editor for the Columbus Ledger-Examiner. In this role Ben was responsible for all media coverage, personnel and financial issues for the newsroom. He has also served as the Assistant to the President for the McClatchy Company. In this role he reported to the chief executive of this major U.S. newspaper group in implementing centralized purchasing; assisted in long-term budgeting, marketing strategy, acquisition analysis and acquisition integration. Ben has also worked for the Desert Sun Publishing Company in Palm Springs, California; The Reno Gazette-Journal; and The Wall Street Journal.
