Why I teach
I teach for selfish reasons, mostly. I crave knowledge and there's no better way to self-educate than to teach. It's also endlessly entertaining.

Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered. (Thomas Paine)
Take pleasure in the details ... a Quarter Pounder with cheese, those are good. (Troy in Reality Bites)
Our life is frittered away by detail. (Thoreau)
If the headline is big enough, it makes the news big enough. (Citizen Kane)
Freedom costs a buck o' five. (Team America: World Police)
All, everything that I understand, I understand only because I love. (Leo Tolstoy)
Absolute truth is a very rare and dangerous commodity in the context of professional journalism. (Hunter S. Thompson)
The world is a spiritual vessel which cannot be controlled. (Tao de Ching)
All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. (Isak Dinesen)
So it goes. (Kurt Vonnegut)
