Why I teach
What I've Learned
- Acknowledge when you've made a mistake, in journalism or in the rest of life. It's equally difficult to admit both kinds of mistakes.
- Great journalism still can make a huge difference in people's lives.
- That's one reason that no other profession is more fun.
- The best stories often are staring you in the face.
- Real wine experts know that price isn't necessarily an indicator of quality. That's worth remembering in other pursuits, too.
