Why I teach:
I try not to teach students. Instead, I hope to help them learn.
In turn, students help me learn more than ever I thought I could.
What I’ve learned:
- Teaching presents many management
challenges.
- So does learning.
- Students (and teachers) can
almost always accomplish more than they think they can.
- We need others more than
we think we do.
- You gain
power by giving it away. This phrase may be a cliche,
but it's true.
