In 2013 the Donald W. Reynolds School of Journalism awarded more than $95,000 in scholarships to its top students thanks to the support of many donors.
Reynolds School of Journalism scholarship applicants, please note:
Reynolds School of Journalism applicants must complete the scholarship application in MyNEVADA between November and February 1, annually. To do so, log in to MyNevada, go to Student Center, Supplemental Forms, Scholarship Application.
To be eligible for consideration for scholarships which require financial need, by March 1 annually, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov and include federal school code 002568; University of Nevada, Reno, Reno, NV. Students not eligible to complete the FAFSA (such as international students or students with DACA status), may complete the Financial Aid Calculation for Non-FAFSA Eligible Students form by March 1 annually.
- Our scholarships are awarded to students who are declared journalism majors or pre-majors and are in good academic standing. Eligibility is limited to the semesters in which you are a FULL TIME student at Nevada (12 undergraduate credits, 9 graduate credits). Community college credits and open enrollment Extended Studies credits do not count.
