Warren Lerude’s book on Robert Laxalt gets positive review
Our very own Warren Lerude, journalism professor emeritus, has written a book called “Robert Laxalt: The Story of a Storyteller.”
Ed Vogel of the Las Vegas Review-Journal recently reviewed his work. To read the review please visit: http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/nevada-and-west/biography-tells-story-nevada-storyteller-robert-laxalt
Robert Laxalt was Nevada’s most acclaimed writer in modern times; an internationally praised author for his works in the Basque culture through his own family. His classic Sweet Promised Land, the story of Robert and his sheepherder father Dominique going to the Basque County in France and Spain in search of their heritage, continues to be reprinted again and again following its 1957 debut.
The University community along with the Laxalt family will celebrate the launch of Warren’s biography on campus this September.
